The most common projection mistake at Nashville events: under-spec’d brightness. A 3,000-lumen projector that looks great in a boardroom turns into a washed-out gray blob in a hotel ballroom with house lights at 30%. The right projector depends on three numbers: screen size, ambient light in the room, and throw distance to the screen. Get any one of them wrong and the entire program suffers. Choosing the right brightness

• 3,000–3,500 lumens (ViewSonic): Boardrooms, small breakouts, classrooms with house lights dimmed. Screens up to about 100″ diagonal.
• 6,000 lumens (NEC): Mid-sized ballroom breakouts, banquets with chandeliers at half. Screens up to 12 feet wide.
• 12,000–15,000 lumens (Epson Pro Laser WUXGA): Hotel ballroom general sessions, large keynotes, situations where house lights need to stay up for note-taking. Screens up to 20–25 feet wide. Laser light engine means zero warm-up, instant on/off, and consistent brightness from minute one to minute one hundred.

Screens and dress kits

A projector without the right screen is half a deployment. When to skip projection and use LED video walls instead

If house lights need to stay fully on, if the venue has bright windows, or if you want the visual to be a focal point of the design rather than disappearing into the wall behind it — that’s when our LED video walls earn their keep. We carry indoor LED panels in multiple pixel pitches, configurable to almost any width-to-height ratio, with a media server feeding live content, presenter slides, motion graphics, and live IMAG. Higher initial cost than projection, but unrivaled in any bright-room application.
