Music City Center AV & Production

Your Independent AV Partner Inside Nashville's Convention Center

The Music City Center is the heart of Nashville's convention business — 1.2 million square feet downtown, including a 350,000 sq ft exhibit hall, the 57,000 sq ft Karl Dean Grand Ballroom, the Davidson Ballroom, and more than 60 meeting rooms. Nashville Audio Visual is your independent production partner inside it — an alternative to in-house AV that usually saves you money and gives you a team that's all yours.

We've worked this building for years and know it cold: the rigging grid, the power drops, the dock and freight routes, the ceiling heights in each hall. For a planner bringing a show to Nashville, that means a faster, calmer load-in and a production team that's already three steps ahead.

Independent AV = Real Savings at MCC

You're allowed to bring your own production company into the Music City Center, and most large shows do exactly that to control cost and quality. We give you an itemized quote you can hold right next to the in-house bid — same gear, same caliber of crew, typically a lot less money.

  • Well below in-house AV rates for comparable scope
  • We handle MCC's insurance, rigging & labor requirements
  • Direct coordination with MCC event services
  • Serving Nashville since 1995 — CMA Fest & NFL Draft experience

Music City Center AV — Common Questions

Can I use an outside AV company at the Music City Center?

Yes. The Music City Center allows exhibitors and event organizers to bring in independent AV production companies. Nashville Audio Visual regularly works in the building as an outside partner — typically at a meaningful savings versus in-house AV rates — and we coordinate directly with MCC's event services and operations teams to meet all building requirements for rigging, power, and labor.

Do you know the Music City Center building?

Thoroughly. We've produced events in the exhibit halls, the Karl Dean Grand Ballroom, the Davidson Ballroom, and the meeting-room levels for years. We know the rigging points, the power locations, the load-in via the dock, ceiling heights, and how to move gear through the building efficiently — which means faster setup and fewer day-of surprises for your show.

What can you produce at the Music City Center?

Everything from a single breakout to a full convention: main-stage general sessions with line-array sound, large-format LED walls and IMAG, AV for dozens of concurrent breakout rooms, exhibit-hall booth power and AV, registration and digital signage, and live streaming for hybrid attendees — all run by our on-site crew.

We're planning an MCC event from out of town — can you handle it remotely?

Yes — that's most of our convention work. You plan from anywhere; we do a virtual walkthrough, build the production plan and a single all-in quote, coordinate with the Music City Center, and our Nashville crew executes on the ground from load-in to strike. No need to fly anyone in to manage AV.
